January KetoKrate Review

Hilo Life: Super Cheesy Crispy Cheddar and Almonds

These are delicious! The cheese is super crunchy. Plus, the almond and cheese ratio was just perfect.

Genius Gourmet: Salted Caramel Keto Bar

The Genius Gourmet Salted Caramel Keto Bars are not quite filling enough to be a meal substitute, but make a nice keto snack and a great MCT source. The creamy caramel filling is covered in a yummy white candy coating, which pairs quite well with a cup of coffee.

Pizzootz: Baja Taco Pecans

I really enjoyed the Pizzootz Baja Taco Pecans. The flavor was very unique, but delicious. The more I ate them, the more I liked them! My one critique would be the pecans had broken up into small pieces and were a little difficult to eat.

Choc Zero: White Chocolate OR Milk Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups

I absolutely love the ChocZero brand, but I wasn’t very happy with these Milk Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups. They were a little reminiscent of fat bombs, which I don’t really enjoy. I gave mine to my Mom, who is also on the keto diet, and she actually really enjoyed them.

I really liked these soft-baked cookies! It had a very pleasant brown-sugar taste. They had just the right amount of chocolate chips and pecans. I was impressed that they are also only 2 net carbs per cookie.

Munk Pack: Keto Nut & Seed Sea Salt Dark Chocolate

Munk Pack never disappoints. The Sea Salt Dark Chocolate bar tasted absolutely wholesome and delicious. It was not too salty or too sweet.

Pork King Good: Jalapeno and Cheese

After all these years on keto, I’m a little tired of pork rinds; however, these did have a nice flavor. I liked to dip them in Everything But The Bagel Dip!

Keto Krisps: Cheddar

Keto Krisps definitely lived up to their name! These had a delicious golden flavor, and an even more satisfying crispy crunch.

Better Than Good: Fruity Charms

These Fruity Charms stole the show this month! I was blown away by how much this snack reminded me of Fruit Loops or Fruity Pebbles cereal. The crunchy center was coated in a creamy candy, which I was really quite crazy about.

Super Coffee: Vanilla Super Coffee

I don’t like Super Coffee, so I did not try this one. I gave it to my brother so it wouldn’t go to waste, and he thought it just wasn’t bad.

Sweetwell Snacks: Milk Chocolate Almond Keto Chocolate Bites

Despite being sweetened with Splenda, these chocolate covered almonds had no bitter aftertaste. They were the perfect texture and sweetness. Delicious and addictive!

NOVEMBER KETO KRATE

November brought with it many tempting carb-rich foods. I most definitely indulged in some mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie last month, but I would have been even worse off without my stash of Keto Krate snacks! My favorite snack was most definitely the Choc Zero Double Dipped Almonds.

October Keto Krate Review

Since the the pandemic, I’ve avoided going out like the plague (Pun intended). Something about the threat of imminent death really puts a dampener on shopping trips and other excursions. Cue online shopping and subscription boxes. Now that I’ve gotten my vaccines, I feel a little better about venturing out, but still nothing beats getting your groceries in the comfort of your pajamas. During the first few months of isolation, I struggled to keep off the weight, but discovering KetoKrate has really helped me get back on track. Keto Krate is a monthly subscription box packed with keto snacks, mixes, shakes, and other goodies. I have been receiving a Krate for close to a year now, and I always find something I love in each Krate selection. Each Krate item is 5 net carbs or less per saving, gluten free, and malitol free, so I can rest assured none of my Krate goodies will knock me out of ketosis. The October Keto Krate didn’t disappoint.

IQ Bar: Wild Blueberry

  • Keto (3 net carbs)
  • High-Protein (12 g)
  • Vegan
  • Gluten-Free
  • Non-GMO
  • Sugar Alcohol-Free
  • Dairy-Free

IQ’s Wild Blueberry Bar was one of my favorite items from the Krate. The bar texture is soft, and lightly flecked with small seeds. It taste was authentic, and fresh. I was very pleased. Overall, the bar was somewhat reminiscent of the blueberry Fig Newtons I enjoyed in my childhood.

Quevos Egg WHite Chips: Rancheros

  • Keto (4 net carbs)
  • High-Protein (8 g)
  • Gluten-Free
  • Grain-Free

I really liked the Quevos Egg White Chips, but I think the texture is more similar to crackers. Oddly enough, they remind me a bit of Nabisco’s Chicken in a Bisket crackers. This snack was a definite win.

Pork King Good: Ranch Flavored Chicharrones (Fried Pork Rinds)

  • Keto (0 net carbs!)
  • Paleo
  • Gluten-Free
  • Trans-Fat Free
  • No MSG

At this point in my keto journey, I am the connesurier of pork rinds. They are either a really good chip substitute, or really good dog treats. In this case, Pork King Good succeeded in creating a tasty carb-free snack. I love how fluffy and light these pork rinds were.

Better Than GOOD: Keto Protein Puffs (Baked Cheddar)

  • Keto (3 net carbs)
  • Non-GMO
  • Kosher
  • High-Protein (15 g)

If you miss munching on Cheetos, you might want to try this keto alternative. These protein puffs have a delicious cheesy flavor, and a perfectly crunchy texture. The protein flavor is very mild.

Kitu Super Coffee: Maple Pumpkin

  • Keto (2 net carbs)
  • Gluten-Free
  • Kosher
  • High-Protein (10 g)

Kitu Super Coffees have an impressive 200 mg caffeine and some seriously modest macros. The nutritional value of the this drink is almost enough for me to forgive the flavor, but not quite. Honestly, there is just something a little off-putting about this brand of coffee. I was suspicious that stevia leaf was responsible for the grassy flavor, but the nutritional information only boasts of monk-fruit Being such a big pumpkin spice fan, I really wanted to like the Maple Pumpkin flavor, but it just wasn’t for me.

ChocZero: Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups

  • Keto (1 net carb)
  • Gluten-Free
  • Soy-Free
  • Non-GMO
  • Sugar Alcohol-Free
  • Dairy-Free
  • Vegan

I was tickled to see another ChocZero product in my box this month, as I always love their candies. My expectations were a bit high, but for the most part I was not disappointed. The dark chocolate was perfection, but the peanut butter filling was a bit of a let down to me. I was looking forward to a more traditional Reese’s-like taste and texture. Perhaps if I had anticipated a peanut butter flavored fat-bomb, I would have liked them better. All the same, while these didn’t hold a candle to one of my childhood favorites, these were not terrible in their own right.

Keto Farms: Cocoa Dusted Almonds

  • Keto (2 net carbs)
  • Naturally Flavored

As far as keto snacks are concerned, sometimes less is more. I love the simplicity of the Keto Farms Candied Nuts, especially the Cocoa Dusted Almonds. These had just the right amount of chocolaty sweetness to appease my sweet-tooth! I had tried these almonds before and loved them, but this time the texture was a little less crunchy than I had expected; however, this might have been due to a packaging flaw.

Love Good Fats: Chewy-Nutty (Dark Chocolate Sea Salt & Almond)

  • Keto (4 net carbs)
  • Paleo
  • Gluten-Free
  • Sugar Alcohol-Free
  • Plant-Based
  • No Added Soy

The Love Good Fats Chewy-Nutty bar are one of the most wholesome tasting bars I have tried. They were just mildly sweet, and perfectly crunchy. I would definitely recommend these bars to any Kind bar fan gone keto!

Real Jerky: Original Beef Stick

  • Keto (1 net carb)
  • Paleo
  • High-Protein (7 g)
  • Gluten-Free
  • Soy Free
  • Kosher

I love that the RealJerky Original Beef Sticks are made with all natural Angus Beef. I’m not a huge fan of soft beef sticks preferring chewy beef jerky, but this was one of the better ones I have tried.

  • Keto (4 net carbs)
  • Gluten-Free
  • Non-GMO

The Cookie Department: Champion Chip

I have nothing bad to say about The Cookie Department’s Champion Chip cookie. It was one of my favorite snack in this month’s Krate. Nothing beats a good soft-baked keto cookie, especially when its dotted with delicious chocolate chips.

Pizootz Flavor Infused Premium California Artisan Almonds: New York Dill Pickle

  • Keto (3 net carbs)
  • Gluten-Free
  • Lactose-Free
  • Non-GMO
  • Kosher
  • Vegan

I honestly had no idea almonds could taste like these. While I definitely could enjoy a handful or hearty almonds now and then, these almonds were of a much higher-caliber. These almonds were delicious, buttery, and smooth. Snacking on almonds is suddenly seems a little luxurious.

Mission Meats Beef Bar: Tasty Original

  • Keto (1 net carb)
  • Paleo
  • Gluten-Free
  • MSG-Free
  • Nitrate-Free

Sadly, the only thing I liked about this beef bar was the macros. The soft-texture mainly was very off-putting to me. But that might just be my personal preference. My 8 year old niece loved it, which is saying something for sure!
