Flax Sandwich Bread (Air Fryer)


  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 1/2 cup flax meal
  • 5 TBSP psyllium husk powder
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • 2 TBSP sour cream
  • 3 TBSP water
  • 1 TBSP apple cider vinegar
  • 1 stick of butter.
  • 1 cup colby-jack cheese


In a mixer, mix together dry ingredients. Add in egg, sour cream, apple cider vinigar, and water. Melt 1 cup colby-jack cheese and add to mixer. Mix. Add butter, small pieces at a time, and mix until there are no piece of butter visible in the bowl. Knead the dough in the bowl a bit with your hands, than form a loaf. Divide the dough into 10 rolls, If making sandwich bread, flatten rolls into pancake shapes. Divide dough into batches, depending on the size of your air fryer, you should be able to cook 2-4 pieces at a time. Cook the bread in the air fryer at 370° for 5 minutes, then flip and cook for another 5 minutes.
